Enrolment Procedures

Most children coming to Drummore school will be admitted at the start of the school year. Parents will have received a letter from the education offices instructing them to bring their child to the school on the morning of the first day of the new session.

Transport can be arranged, in advance, on request.
On arrival at the school parents and children will be welcomed by the Depute Head Teacher who will note their name.
Tables and chairs will be arranged in the dining hall.
Tea and coffee will be available from the auxiliaries.
Parents and children will in turn be directed to the Head Teacher’s office where official enrolment will take place. Permission slips for outings, photo / video use and showers will be issued.
The Depute Head Teacher will then introduce the parent and child to the appropriate class teacher. Parents will then make their own way home. The Depute Head Teacher will arrange appropriate buses to transport children home at the end of the school day.
This is meant to be an enjoyable and memorable occasion for parents and children. It is an excellent opportunity for parents and children to ask questions about the school and its function.
Children admitted during the school year are entitled to the same enrolment process.
